Blanche (Stepien) Cena entered into rest August 5, 2017. Born October 24, 1924, she was the daughter of Polish immigrants Michael and Victoria Stepien. Blanche worked for Curtis Wright Aircraft during WWII, manufacturing parts for planes used during the war and was the General Manager for HMS Direct Printing and Mailing for over 30 years.
She was a founding member of St. Amelia's Church in Tonawanda, where she was a Church Lector, member of the Outreach, Bishop's Committee, Right to Life Committee, Golden Nuggets, Parish Cenus Committee and Parish Council. Blanche also loved to travel. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph, in 1980. Beloved mother of James (Kathleen) of FL, Paul (JoAnn), Stephen (Rosemary) of CA, and the late Barbara Cena. Cherished grandmother of Joseph (Jessica), Alex and Andrew (Amanda) Cena; great-grandmother of Cameron, Jordan and Devin Cena. Dear sister of Richard (Arlene) Stepian and the late Cecelia Gmerek and Henry Stepien.
Friends may call from 3-8 PM on Friday at the Taylor and Reynolds Funeral Home, 70 Niagara Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 9:00 AM at St. Amelia's Church, 210 St. Amelia Dr., Tonawanda, NY, 14150. (Please assemble at the church.)
