Obituary of Delphine "Mama" Smoke

Delphine M. Smoke, also known as "Mama Smoke," entered into rest April 10, 2020. Born May 20, 1945 in Brantford, Ontario, she was the daughter of Elby and Mrytle (Brant) Smoke.

Delphine retired from Sherwood Selpac where she worked as a lathe operator.

Beloved mother of Daren "TPDC" Colon; cherished sister of Darlene Santana, Alma Eckerd, and the late jerry Smoke; dear aunt of Serina Marie Eckerd, Bill (Shannon) Santana, Justin (Rose) Santana, Peter Eckerd III, Shannon Smoke, Jerry Smoke, Alex Santana, Manon Santana, Kiera Santana and Kiernan Santana; dear friend of Nancy Bradley and Peter Eckerd. Also survived by many great-nieces and great-nephews.

There will be no prior visitation. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at the Taylor & Reynolds Funeral Home, 70 Niagara St.

    A beautiful, kind hearted woman who will be greatly missed. Very few people share a closeness and bond as Mama Smoke and TPDC had. My deepest sympathy and continued prayers to The Package and Smoke family.

    Chris and I want to send our condolences out. Mama Smoke was very special to all her ballplayers. DC, all our love to you and the fam. Her memories and vibrant life will live on in our hearts.
