Dorothy F. Fitzgerald entered into rest September 20, 2018, unexpectedly at home. Born September 17, 1953, in Lockport, she was the daughter of Marian and Antonina (Roman) Filipertis. Dorothy formerly worked at Wilson Farms for 13 years and was noted as a joyful and, giving person. She was a regular at the Monday night cruise, enjoyed going to the casino with her boys and planting flowers around her home.
Predeceased by her husband, Daniel Fitzgerald, in 2013. Dorothy is the beloved mother of Daniel, Christopher "Fitzy" (Lisa Summerlee) and Shawn Fitzgerald; cherished grandmother of Vanesa, Christopher, Alyssa, and Derek; dear sister of Jadwiga (James) Kwoka and her twin James "Jimmy" Filipertis; sister-in-law of Cheryl (Joe) Chiappone and Kathy (Don) Mullen, Sr. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 6-8 PM on Monday at theTaylor and Reynolds Funeral Home, where Funeral Services will be held at 8:00 PM. Inurnment in Colds Springs cemetery. Condolences may be offered below, and flowers may be purchased through The Flower Barn.
I have known Dorothy for over 50 years and she was a kind, gentle person. I will miss her. My prayers and thoughts are with the family.
