Edwin "Lorenzo" Knowles age 67 entered into on November 1, 2024. He was born March 12, 1957 in Zellwood, Florida. He was the son of Bertie Sr. and Rosezna Knowles.
He is the dear brother of Clementine, Bertie (Karen) Knowles Jr, Ralph (Crystal) Knowles, Marie (Guy) Baker, Phyllis (Dalvan) Robinson and Frank (Katrina) Knowles.
He graduated from Barker High School where he starred in basketball, football and track. He still holds the school record for the discus at 141'-3" in 1976. After school along with his brothers he played in many basketball leagues and tournaments. He also played catcher in the local churches fast pitch softball league for years. He played football for several years for the Semi-pro Buffalo Gladiators, at one point being the oldest player in the league.
Lorenzo was a longtime member of Refuge Temple of Christ of Lockport where he was a Deacon.

For decades he impressed many at parties, weddings and other events as a DJ and known by most as "DJ Must be the Music". He was hired by Harrison Radiator and worked there for 22 years. He is also survived by his estranged wife, Carol, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call Friday November 8th from 4-7 at the Taylor & Reynolds Funeral Home, 70 Niagara Street, Lockport NY. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday November 9th at 11:00 am at Christ Community Church 140 Genesee Street, Lockport NY. Interment in Colds Springs Cemetery.

but will miss him more because he was a friend.
The Knowles are a loving family,I met Lorenzo back in “86”the Knowles and Kennedy family( my wife Leza’s family) go back many years.May Jehovah continue blessing the Knowles family.

Played a lot of lunch time basketball at the old Y with ‘Zo, he was usually at a different level than most, but was always a good teammate RIP.
We are very saddened at the passing of Lorenzo! He was such a super guy and a good friend. I will always remember the B-Ball games we played. He will be surely missed. Our hearts go out to The Knowles Family. R.I.P. “ MY ALMOST BROTHER- IN-LAW”!

Wow I have no idea how I ended up here to find out this sad news. I met Lorenzo through his brother Ralph, I went to IJCC in 1998 when Ralph was the Recreation Director. And I visited on the weekends. Lorenzo was a very deep knowledge easygoing person. Never knew he was born two days before me and 17 years. To his family sorry for your loss but he’s still here in spirit

I met Mr. Lorenzo when I first moved to VA from NYC in 2005! Me. Lorenzo was a kind soul and a great person! He was like a father to me. I spoke to him in th early part of 1024 but then all communication stopped. When I called his phone it was out of service but I kept trying because I thought it was off! I searched google for him several times but nothing came up. I decided to try tonight and I find out that he is no longer here! Sleep in heavenly peace, Mr. Lorenzo I love you always 💔🕊️
