Eric William Harrington, of Lockport, passed away suddenly on March 16, 2024. Born on October 14, 1974 in Buffalo, New York to loving parents William and April Harrington.
Eric was a 1992 graduate of Lockport High School where he was an all-star linebacker and the recipient of numerous athletic honors including the Cauda San Marco award and the unsung hero award. He went on to play college football at SUNY Brockport and then in the semi-pro league with the Lockport Invaders. Eric played sports the way he lived life, with intensity, veracity and heart.
Professionally, Eric was an invaluable partner in helping his father build Harrington Service, the family business that thrived in Lockport for more than forty years.
He was the cherished partner of Michelle Kushner. Eric was the loving brother of Tony (Chris) Farina of Orchard Park, Jennifer (Salvatore) Arena of Delray Beach, Florida, and Deborah Farina of Orlando, Florida.
The loss of Eric is devastating beyond words and understood universally as a life lost way too soon. His many cousins, nieces and nephews have lost a family icon, friend, mentor and someone to look up to.
Calling hours will be held Friday, March 22nd, 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Taylor & Reynolds Funeral Home, 70 Niagara Street, Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, March 23rd at 10am at St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport.

I am beyond words, I am so saddened to hear Eric has left this world to soon. Eric was a childhood favorite friend and recently a fellow yogi who cherishing his mother’s linage of healing, yoga, kindness and compassion would also reverberate that into others… His heart was huge.
