God bless you, Jerry. We were friends for over 70 years, starting at St. Anthony’s Church and then a classmate at DeSales High School. I have many connections with your wonderful family. I worked with your father at several picnics he catered. I remember fondly being in the restaurant kitchen with your mother as she offered samples of whatwever food she was preparing at the time. Your sister Florence and I were students at St. Bonaventure University at the same time. And of course the evenings we spent at the restaurant when we were celebrating DeSales Class Reunions.
    Rest in Peace dear friend.

I had the privilege of knowing Gerry almost my whole life. I remember grabbing fresh meatballs from the kitchen on Saturday mornings, playing street hockey in the DeFlippos parking lot and then going in for pizza or wings and spending many hours at the DeFlippo house. I’ll never forget Gerry razzing my Grandma Peg about the Bill’s. But probably my favorite memory was hearing Gerry tell the story of DJ and I sinking DJ’s boat in the Thousand Islands!
Gerry was a great man and will be missed. My condolences to the entire family.
