Obituary of James “Jim” Jagow

James “Jim” Jagow, 62, of Western New York, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in North Tonawanda, New York, Jim was the son of the late Donald and Patricia (Marlatt) Jagow.

Jim is survived by his beloved son, James “Jimmy” Jagow Jr.; his fiancée, Theresa Equils; his former wife and lifelong friend, Lori (Carpenter) Jagow; his siblings, Deborah (Timothy) Jagow Wynes, Gary Jagow, and Russell Jagow; as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.

Jim was a proud member of UA Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 22 and worked for many years as a steamfitter and HVAC technician. He took great pride in his work and was known for his strong work ethic and mechanical skill. Jim was always ready to lend a hand, generously sharing his time and talents to help family, friends, and neighbors with repairs and projects.

Jim enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing tennis, and spending time with Theresa and Jimmy. He especially enjoyed weight training and playing guitar with his son.

Throughout life’s changes, Jim and Lori remained lifelong friends, devoted to supporting and caring for their son together.

Jim will be remembered for the many ways he showed up for the people in his life, the memories he created with those he loved, and the place he held in the lives of his family and friends. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
