Obituary of James Marshall Printup Jr.

James Printup Jr. of the Tuscarora Nation passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo following an illness.

He was born April 3, 1968, in Lewiston the son of James Printup Sr. and Shirley Harman Printup. He graduated from Niagara Wheatfield High School and then joined the Air Force. He was stationed in Seoul, South Korea and Davis AFB in Arizona and received an honorable discharge.

He was a NY Yankees and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He enjoyed shooting pool and fishing. His greatest pastime was spending time with his children and attending their sporting events. He especially enjoyed encouraging his son in lacrosse.

Jim is survived by his children Harley, Novalee and Atticus and their mother, Emily Henry Printup. Also survived by his father and stepmother, James and Nadine Printup, his sisters Lisa Printup and Shawna Kirkland and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Predeceased by his mother Shirley Printup, maternal grandparents Emily and Edward Harman, paternal grandparents Marshall and Ola Printup and special uncle Big Joe Printup.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, August 11, 2025 at Tuscarora Baptist Church at 12 p.m. with a luncheon to follow the service.
