John J. Thurston entered into rest October 10, 2022. Born October 25, 1961 he was the son of John H. and Rosemary (Halbig) Thurston.

John was owner and operator of J. Thurston Contracting.

He was the beloved father of Jeffrey (Stephanie) Thurston, Benjamin Thurston and Rachel Thurston; cherished grandfather of Kylee, Aiden, Jennafer and Evan Thurston, Brayden and Rylee Vecchio; brother of Cynthia (Wayne) Culverwell and David Thurston; uncle of Lisa Spedding, Kyle and Brent Thurston.

Friends may call Monday October 17, 2022 from 3-7 PM at the Taylor & Reynolds Funeral Home, 70 Niagara Street, where services will be held at 7:00 PM. Burial will at the convenience of the family. Memorials to the family would be appreciated.

    I am truly heartbroken and so sorry for your loss. John was such a good man…did so much work on my house and was always there when I needed him. I was so fortunate to have known him. My condolences to you all.
