Obituary of June Beverly Witte

June Beverly Witte, nee Hubbard, 86, of Gasport, NY passed away peacefully on May 30th, 2023, at Beechwood Continuing Care while under hospice care.

June was born June 25th, 1936, in Hamilton Ontario, Canada to the late Edgar & Irene Hubbard. June grew up in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada where she graduated from Delta High School, then spent her entire working career as a bookkeeper, where she met her lifelong friend Ursula (Ushy) Fischer.

Ushy and June had a passion for their beloved Toronto Blue Jays and went to many games together over the years.

June remained in Canada until 1992 when she married the LOVE of her life Chuck Witte. They lived on Grand Island, NY until they relocated to Gasport, NY, and loved traveling with their Oldsmobile Club of WNY.

June was an active member of Christ Episcopal Church of Lockport, NY and loved her church family. She enjoyed all the activities, especially cooking for the congregation. She was an amazing cook. June also had a passion for crocheting and cross-stitch and if you were lucky, you have one of her beautiful creations.
June is predeceased by her husband of 25 years Charles (Chuck) Witte and survived by her children Judy (Anthony Marotta) Shaddock, Dave (Amanda) McKay, Marcia (Kevin) Robison & Ray (Pam) Witte.

June is also survived by her grandchildren Allison, Mark, Eric, Ashley, Joe, Addison & Noah, her 12 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews on both sides of the border.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Christ Episcopal Church, 7145 Fieldcrest Dr, Lockport, NY. 14094 on Saturday June 10th at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Christ Episcopal Church.
