Obituary of Leonard James Sawyer Sr.

Leonard Sawyer, 64, of Lockport, NY, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2025. Born on December 16, 1960, Leonard was a man of deep faith, quiet strength, and boundless love for his family.

Leonard’s life was rooted in his devotion to the Lord. He found great joy and purpose in attending church, where he grew in his faith. A true craftsman at heart, Leonard loved building things with his hands. Whether it was carpentry projects for his grandkids, fixing broken items, or just tinkering around outside, he found peace and satisfaction in creating. He also loved fishing, flea markets, and spending time outdoors.

Above all, Leonard cherished his family. He is survived by his beloved children, grandchildren, siblings, and many nieces and nephews. His legacy of faith, love, and simplicity will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

A memorial service will take place at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 7th, at OpOverwatch Center at 7209 Rapids Rd. Lockport, NY 14094.
