Obituary of Loyd Hamilton Wilbur

Loyd Hamilton Wilbur passed away on January 12, 2026 in Buffalo, NY after a brief illness. Loyd graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in Finance. He was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha and served as an advisor to the chapter at the University of Vermont for several years. Loyd held an Extra Class license in ham radio and participated in emergency communications, both actual and annual drills.

Loyd is survived by his devoted wife, Donna, his children Amanda Wilbur, Loyd Matthew Wilbur and Sarah Wilbur (Simon Payne), grandsons Christopher and Joshua Marler, Austin James, Daniel Mora and Matthew Wilbur, his niece Katie VandeWater, nephew Andrew Bigelow and brother-in-law Robert Bigelow. He was predeceased by his parents Loyd Hamilton Wilbur Jr and Nora (Busby) Wilbur and sister Kay Bigelow.
