Obituary of Norris P. Cogar Sr.

Norris P. Cogar Sr. passed peacefully February 22, 2019, at the age of 83, at Eastern Niagara Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Originally from West By God Virginia, he was the son of the late Morgan and Fern Cogar of West Virginia. Beloved Father of Norris "Jap" Cogar Jr., Arnold "Kick" Cogar, Josephine "Sis" Windnagle, Polly(Dennis) Cogar and Christine Cogar Mullen. Cherished Grandfather of Crystal(Zac) Mullen, Dylan Straight, and Ridge Cogar. Great Grandfather of Grayson Caraco, Savanah, and Jacob Cogar. Dear Brother of Jocelyn Singleton and the late Katherine Linger, Necia Cogar and Jean Hazelett. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, close family friends Bud and Lucy Postalwaite.

He will be interned at Newville cemetery, West Virginia with his Mom and Dad and his Sisters. He is back at Home! Dad, you will be sadly missed!     I am so very sorry for the loss of this great man. Norris treated me like one of his own and I have decades of great memories. I loved him like a Dad.
    Jap, Kick, Sis, Polly & Crissy, you were his life, his Grandkids, great Grandkids, he was always family-first, its what he lived for. Everyone who knew him, he made you family, I will miss him. Love to you all.

    Norris I will miss you, you were the only brother in a field of five , it was fun growing up together. we gave you a hard time, but you played it forward.I know your children will miss you.Love them all.
