Obituary of Richard Edmond Renaud

Richard Edmond Renaud, 77 of West Springfield, MA, died Thursday April 14, in Buffalo NY after a short battle with lung cancer.

Richard is survived by his wife, Rosemary; his 8 children and 16 grandchildren. He is predeceased by 2 of his grandchildren and 12 of 13 siblings.
Richard was a loving father and dog owner. He enjoyed fishing and old cars. He was a god-fearing man who enjoyed helping others when able.

Richard was born January 15, 1945, to Victor and Yvonne Renaud in Westfield, MA. He was awarded the Silver Star and Purple Medal for heroic service while deployed as a Marine Sergeant in Vietnam. He then served as a military police officer before settling down to start a family.

Calling hours are scheduled for Thursday April 28, 2022 from 11:30am-1pm at Colonial Forastiere Funeral & Cremation, 985 Main St., Agawam, MA, followed by a service at 1pm. Burial with military honors will be held at 2pm at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Agawam. Local arrangements to be held by Taylor and Reynolds Funeral Home.
