Obituary of Robert "Pritch" Pritchard
Robert C. Pritchard, "Pritch", died at home surrounded by family on October 25, 2022. Born in Lockport, April 26, 1934, he was the son of Mary (Barnum) Pritchard and William Pritchard. He was predeceased by his wife of 34 years, Ellen (Holly) Pritchard and his brother, William Pritchard.
Bob was a proud DeSales alum and was drafted in 1957, serving in the US Army at Fort Benning, Georgia. He was a devout Catholic and a dedicated family man who loved spending free time visiting and caring for his and Ellen's family members. Many remember Ellen and Bob for their generosity and welcoming all into their NH home.
He spent his entire professional career with the United States Postal Service; 25 years as a New England based postal inspector, followed by Director of Mail Processing in Manchester, NH and Buffalo, NY; retiring as the Postmaster in Sanborn, NY. He enjoyed watching sports, especially tennis with Pauline and supporting the Bills and the Sabres (after being a huge Bruins fan).
He is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years Pauline Lombardo D'Alessandro Pritchard; his three daughters Margaret (Michael Wright) Pritchard, Catherine (Jeffrey) Hollow, Mary Ellen (Bob) Giguere; his stepsons Rob and Bill (Jen) D'Alessandro and stepdaughter Rosanne (Duane) Main. Pritch also leaves behind his grandchildren Tess and Tony Wright, Andrew and Sarah Hollow, Michael and Thomas Giguere, William D'Alessandro Jr and Alessa Main.
The family wishes to thank his caretakers of recent years who worked alongside Pauline and Margaret and treated him like their own family member with tender loving care, lots of fun and humor.
