You were a second mother to me during my formative years. You were a beautiful, kind, funny, warm and loving person. I am so lucky to have had you in my life. Rest in peace.

First time I visited Vicky’s home in Virginia Beach was for her wedding in the 60’s. The house was located on “Bayberry Lane”. At the time I did not know that they made soap out of bay berries. The berries are very small, about the size of green peas. You have to boil a lot of bay berries to get a bar of soap. I do not think I ever asked Vicky if she ever made any soap, but she probably knew how. I will miss her giving me a hand for this sort of stuff.
