Obituary of Sheia R. Bilson

Sheila R. Bilson, 72, of Lockport, NY, passed away on February 9, 2020 after a lengthy illness. She follows her mother, Myrtle (Ritter) Snyder; father, Robert H. Bilson; and brother, Bobby, into her eternal rest.

Sheila was raised and attended local schools in Niagara Falls, NY. When her children were grown, she returned to school and earned her Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Buffalo State College and her Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Buffalo.  Until retirement, she found working with victims of domestic violence both rewarding and fulfilling.  Sheila was always good for a joke and she enjoyed spending time with friends, both new and old.

Sheila is survived by her children, Wendy (Tim) Randall, Julie (Dan) McIntyre, and Marc Cessna; her grandchildren, Garrett Randall, Elisabeth McIntyre, and Derek McIntyre. She was predeceased by her grandson, John R. Randall.

She will be lovingly remembered by her brothers and sisters, Kathy (Dan) DeMartin, Robin (Chris Burhans) Barone, James (Suzanne) Bilson, Karen (Mat Gimmey) Bilson, Mary Louise (John Coram) Bilson, Thomas (Kelley) Bilson, and Tracey (Matt McCabe) Bilson-Blank. She was also the sister of Harry Snyder. Sheila will also be remembered by her many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Sheila will be buried in a private ceremony in Oakwood Cemetery at the convenience of her family.  Memorial tributes may be sent to the Niagara County SPCA.
