Born an only child she did have a special bond to a cousin on her husband's side, Beryl Davis, of Great Britain, who she considered a sister.

Violet was predeceased by husband Thomas G. Nelson.; beloved mother of Shari (Adam) Judd, Lynn (Richard) Garlock and Sandra (Timothy) Arlington; cherished grandmother of Andrew, Kari, Jennifer, Robert (Kelsey) and Christopher (Ayla); Great-grandmother of Ella and Kane.

Vi was a sweet soul. She was a joy to see and work with at the high school. May God bless her and keep her.
