"May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back May the sunshine warm your face, the rain fall soft upon your fields.."
Obituary of Carolyn Stornelli
Carolyn Stornelli passed away peacefully October 18, 2026. Born April 26, 1943, she was the daughter of Samuel and Constantine (Enzinna) Calabrese. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, friend, caregiver, and professional whose kindness and dedication touched countless lives.
For 45 years, Carolyn worked as a hairdresser, a career she truly loved. More than styling hair, she built lasting relationships with her clients, many of whom became lifelong friends.
Carolyn spent 21 years living in Arizona, where she embraced the beauty of the Southwest. During her years in Arizona, she worked as a caregiver for the elderly, providing compassionate support, companionship, and comfort to those in need.
In the fall of 2020, Carolyn and Alphonso (Dick) returned to her hometown of Lockport, New York, where she enjoyed being close to family and reconnecting with lifelong friends and familiar places.
Above all, Carolyn cherished her family. Some of her happiest moments were spent with her grandchildren, whom she adored beyond measure. Whether celebrating holidays, sharing stories, or simply enjoying time together, she treasured every opportunity to be part of their lives.
Carolyn also took great pride in creating a beautiful and welcoming home. Family and friends always felt welcome in her home, a reflection of her caring spirit and attention to detail.
Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.
Carolyn is the beloved wife of Alphonso Stornelli. Beloved mother of Theresa (Ian) Parr, Linda (Joseph) DiLorenzo and Thomas (Lynn) Stornelli. Cherished grandmother of Dominic (Brandi) Stornelli, Donovan (Alexandria) Parr, Jacqueline Parr, Jacob Arnold (Linda) DiLorenzo and Lauryn Stornelli. Great grandmother of Giovanni Stornelli.
Friends may call on Friday October 23, 2026 from 4-7 at the Taylor & Reynolds Funeral Home, 70 Niagara St., where the Funeral Service will be held on Saturday October 24, 2026 at 10:00 am. Interment in Cold Springs Cemetery.
"Those we love don't go away; they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed, and forever dear."

So sorry for your loss. Carolyn was a great person. Thoughts & prayers for all.
